Mosley: Mayweather Sr. vs. McGregor : Highlights, Reaction for Showtime ‘All Access’ Episode

Mayweather vs. McGregor – Fight | SHOWTIME Watch NOW!

Conor McGregor has proved himself to be quite serious when it comes to training for his August 26 megafight with undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Money’s training regimen has been questionable, and it does not appear that he has much respect for McGregor’s skill in the ring.

If that is actually the case, it’s understandable because McGregor has never had a professional boxing match. He made his reputation as a mixed martial arts champion, and he takes an 0-0 boxing record into the ring at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas compared to Mayweather’s 49-0 mark.

Showtime’s All-Access series revealed more of both fighters’ training tendencies for the bout in its fourth episode.

McGregor was once again in the ring, while Mayweather was quite content to have more fun and then do just a bit of training in front of the cameras.

One of the constant themes of the All-Access series has been Mayweather’s insistence about talking about and showing off his money. He did that again here, boasting about the investments and businesses he will leave to his children.

He didn’t get into the specifics of those businesses, other than his strip club, which he is planning to upgrade. He put in time at his strip club planning to make it “classier” and “sexier,” and while he did that McGregor was in the gym and riding his bicycle in the desert.

There’s little doubt that McGregor is using his time to prepare his body for a fight and improve his skills in the ring.

Mayweather did go into the gym on media day, and he hit the heavy bag and the speed bag. He did not pound the heavy bag with ripping shots, but he was more interested in delivering those blows seriously than he had in earlier training sessions.

The speed bag was another story. He made that piece of equipment sing an aria, and he did it with one hand and without looking.

After that session was over, Money stayed in the gym, but not to work out. He was advising young protege Gervonta “Tank” Davis, whom Mayweather believes will become a superstar in the sport. He was at least as interested in training Davis as he was in preparing for his own fight.

Mayweather followed that by getting on his private jet to Los Angeles so he could tape a segment with late-night TV host James Corden. Floyd wants to have fun, and even if it’s mere days away from the big fight, that’s just what he is going to do.

Interviewer Jim Gray sat down with Mayweather and asked him what he thought of individuals who said he only took the fight because of the $300 million he will earn. “They’re f–king right,” Mayweather said, as he looked straight into the camera.

Following another training session, McGregor sat down with Gray and told him his financial goals were to help his family, his girlfriend and his three-month-old son, Conor Jr.

Mayweather’s financial intentions are to do the same for his family, but he comes across as much more financially motivated than McGregor. McGregor insists he will finish Mayweather inside of four rounds.

The two men will be in the ring in just over a week. McGregor is putting in the work, while Mayweather is depending on his talent.

Both are predicting decisive victories, and if it’s McGregor who comes out on top, it will be one of the biggest upsets in sports history.

The Mayweather-McGregor bout will be available on Showtime pay-per-view at a cost of $89.95 ($99.95 for high definition).

Nathan Cleverly to defend title against Badou Jack on Mayweather vs McGregor Live Streaming.

Great Britain’s Nathan Cleverly will defend his WBA light-heavyweight title against Sweden’s Badou Jack, on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather’s Las Vegas super-fight with Conor McGregor.

His first defence of the title has long been under negotiation but its confirmation represents a chance for him to succeed against an opponent George Groves and James DeGale could not overcome.

Jack, of Sweden, in January spoke of his plans to step up from super-middleweight after his dramatic draw with DeGale, having already outpointed Groves in 2015.

The 30-year-old Cleverly has struggled to rediscover the momentum lost in the first defeat of his career, by Sergey Kovalev in 2013, but won his title last October when Juergen Braehmer withdrew with an injury after the six rounds.

Mayweather’s protege Gervonta Davis will against Francisco Fonseca make the second defence of the IBF super-featherweight title he so impressively retained against Britain’s Liam Walsh in May, while Tyson Fury’s one-time opponent Steve Cunningham meets Andrew Tabiti at cruiserweight.

“This is a fight I have wanted ever since Badou Jack moved to light heavyweight and I’m delighted to fight in Vegas on an event like this,” Cleverly told Sky Sports.

“I’ve trained long and hard for this fight and I’m ready to be let off the leash. This is the biggest fight of my career so far and I’m going to do a number on Badou Jack on August 26.”

Jack meanwhile said that he was excited by the opportunity to win a belt in a second weight class.

“I’m thankful for this opportunity and I’m excited about getting another shot at a world title,” he said.

“To be a part of this event and fighting on this card is historic. Nothing beats it. I’m excited to get back in the ring. I’m getting ready to take that belt, and win a title in my

“The biggest difference between past training camps and preparing for this fight is the fact that I was training to get the weight down, now I’m training to build muscle and perfect my boxing strategy.

“This will be a tough fight, but I don’t see any issues getting through it. I feel confident and fans can expect a win by knockout or decision. He’s not leaving with that belt. It’s staying right here in Las Vegas.”

Watch McGregor Vs Mayweather fight Live : ‘Got to be very cautious what you say around Conor’ – world view.

CONOR McGregor’s ex-sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi has ripped into the “arrogant” UFC superstar, as one of his inner circle gave an intriguing insight into the Irishman’s ego.

Malignaggi, a former two-weight boxing world champion, made an explosive exit from McGregor’s camp after feeling wronged in the portrayal of their sparring sessions – in particular, a photograph that suggested ‘The Notorious’ had knocked him down.

“My problem with Conor is his arrogance,” Malignaggi said in his latest broadside, delivered on Fox 5’s Sports Xtra, as time ticks down to McGregor’s August 27 (AEST) fight against unbeaten boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.

“His arrogance is to the point where he can’t progress. He can’t learn. He just wants a bunch of yes men around him.

“He doesn’t want to be told that he’s doing something wrong. He doesn’t want to be told that he needs to make progress, so that he needs to change certain things.

“Whatever he’s doing, he just wants to be told how great he’s doing.”

A major feature on McGregor – Wright Thompson’s cover story for ESPN The Magazine, which delves into the Irishman’s rough upbringing in working-class inner-city Dublin – provides a telling insight along those lines from one of his inner circle.

McGregor’s striking coach Owen Roddy suggests that for all his bravado and famed mental strength, the megastar also has a fragile element to his ego.

That reflection was prefaced with an anecdote about McGregor selling tickets to one of his early MMA shows on behalf of coach John Kavanagh, before spending the money himself – “in essence stealing it from his coach. Instead of facing the consequences, McGregor ghosted Kavanagh, ashamed and barely getting out of bed. When he did, Crumlin started to pull him back in. All those years of avoiding trouble hung in the balance. His mother begged Kavanagh for a second chance. The coach said yes.

“Kavanagh understood McGregor and the quicksands of Dublin. Kavanagh is the son of a construction worker. And in his coach, McGregor found things missing in himself: a calming presence, a man who knew how to marshal his talents while minimising his limitations.

“McGregor, for all his bravado, can be fragile. Norman Mailer wrote about approaching Ali’s psyche like you’d approach a squirrel. That’s true for Conor too. ‘You got to be very cautious what you say around Conor,’ says striking coach Owen Roddy.”

Diaz says Conor McGregor can ‘put up a fight’ opposite Floyd Mayweather in boxing fight match.

mayweather vs mcgregor

As we draw closer to UFC champion Conor McGregor’s boxing superfight with Floyd Mayweather on Aug. 26 live on Showtime pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, predictions and analysis regarding the “Money Fight” will flood the Internet airwaves like flies to trash. McGregor just got done sending sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi to the canvas, as well as posting all the right pictures on social media, so the response from around the combat community will be abundant moving forward.

Former UFC welterweight title challenger and Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz is already chiming in on the impending superfight. After all, Nick saw his brother Nate fight McGregor twice in 2016, with both fighters earning a victory a piece, and has an incredible amount of knowledge about MMA striking and the sweet science of boxing. Surprisingly, Diaz is giving “Notorious” more of a shot to compete alongside Mayweather than almost anyone else.

“As far as MMA, I want to say there’s maybe five guys that do jiu-jitsu that have an actual level of understanding when it comes to boxing,” Diaz said in a recent interview with My MMA News. “He [McGregor] obviously does. I feel like, if he can hit my brother he can definitely can put up somewhat of a fight with Floyd, if not actually bring him an actual challenge.”

Interesting. While Nate Diaz isn’t even in the same stratosphere as “Money” when it comes to boxing skills, he did pose a unique threat to McGregor in both of their meetings at 170 pounds. McGregor had to account for Diaz’s durability, size, reach advantage, output, and overall experience inside of the Octagon. While Mayweather’s boxing prowess can’t be replicated in any way, shape, or form, McGregor’s efforts opposite Nate Diaz represent his ability to game plan for unique fighters.

Only time will tell if Nick Diaz’s outlook on the boxing superfight plays out in favor of McGregor, who will most likely have a trilogy fight with Nate sometime next year.

Mayweather v McGregor mind games, addresses controversial comments.

Floyd Mayweather’s ex-girlfriend has accused Conor McGregor of making light of domestic violence, through a statement released by her attorney.

Josie Harris, who is the mother of three of Mayweather’s children, was the victim of a domestic violence incident in Las Vegas in 2010. Mayweather pleaded guilty to misdemeanour battery and spent two months in prison for the attack.

McGregor, who will be making his professional boxing debut when he fights Mayweather on August 26, appeared to make light of the incident last week when he was photographed wearing a Golden State Warriors NBA shirt with ‘CJ Watson’ written on the back.

Watson is the man Mayweather accused Harris of talking to behind his back, prompting the altercation.

When quizzed by current Warriors player Draymond Green on why he was wearing the jersey, McGregor commented: “That’s CJ Watson mate. I don’t know who the f*** you are. No disrespect tho kid, keep hustling and stay in school.

“Now ask yourself why I’m rocking CJ when I don’t know or give a f*** about basketball. I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here, kid.”

McGregor’s comment was quickly shared thousands of times across various social media platforms, but in a statement released to American news site TMZ, Harris has criticised McGregor for wearing the deliberately inflammatory shirt.

“The Watson reference relates to the early-morning hours of September 9, 2010 when Mayweather attacked and beat Harris in front of her and Mayweather’s three children – acts of domestic violence that were incited in part by Mayweather’s jealousy over a suspected relationship between Harris and Watson,” the statement notes.

mayweather v mcgregor fight online tv

“McGregor’s exploitation of the events surrounding Mayweather’s violent beating of Harris, for the sole purpose of promoting an upcoming boxing match … demonstrates not only an insensitivity toward the emotional wellbeing and privacy of the victim of Mayweather’s domestic violence, but also a general disregard for the physical and emotional trauma and long-lasting psychological impacts suffered by victims of domestic abuse.

“Although McGregor played no part in Mayweather’s physical and emotional abuse of Harris, his exploitation of the events of September 9, 2010, for publicity, entertainment and personal gain demonstrates a lack of sensitivity toward Harris and her three children who witnessed Mayweather’s violence and the trauma they have suffered, and continue to suffer, as a result of Mayweather’s conduct.

“By sensationalizing Mayweather’s past acts of domestic violence in disregard for the privacy and wellbeing of those who have suffered at the hands of an abuser, further compounding the emotional and psychological trauma, shaming, humiliation, blaming and embarrassment suffered by so many victims.”

The statement then concludes with a direct plea for McGregor to refrain from making light of the incident in the future.

“On behalf of Josie Harris, her and Mayweather’s three children, and all victims of domestic violence; we ask that Conor McGregor refrain from capitalising off of the trauma suffered by her and other victims of domestic abuse.”

McGregor has referenced the domestic violence previously, and on Janaury 11 tweeted a cartoon of himself standing above a knocked out Mayweather, along with the caption: “Call me CJ Watson!” The tweet was liked over 25k times.

Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor Fight live streaming at Las Vegas TV Info & Schedule.

The highly anticipated boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor will be shown live in movie theaters around the United States on Aug. 26.

On Tuesday, Dan Rafael of ESPN.com reported that the event, which will take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, will air in select movie theaters. That broadcast will be identical to the Showtime pay-per-view telecast. Tickets to theater showings will range from about $15 to $25 compared to the $99.95 price for the high-definition pay-per-view feed.

Mayweather vs. McGregor

The special viewing experience stems from an agreement between Fathom Events and Mayweather Promotions, which have teamed up to provide similar opportunities for Money’s prior bouts.

“The buzz that my fight against Conor McGregor is getting has been great already, so what better way to watch this larger-than-life event than on the big screen?” Mayweather said. “We brought boxing back to movie theaters eight years ago, and it was a huge success. But this event is on a different level, and I’m so glad we are giving fans another way to see all the action. Grab your popcorn because this is a fight no one will want to miss.”

Mayweather, a 49-0 five-division boxing champion, and McGregor, the UFC lightweight champion, recently completed a week-long worldwide media tour to promote the fight.

Though it’s unclear how the MMA star will perform outside the confines of the Octagon, the hype surrounding the cross-sport battle has continued to grow.

The fight is projected to rake in $606.1 million in revenue, just shy of the $623.5 million made by Mayweather’s underwhelming May 2015 superfight with Manny Pacquiao, per Darren Rovell of ESPN.com.

Much of the buildup to the fight has played out like a movie script, as a relative unknown from Ireland who quickly rose through the combat ranks has earned a massive payday against one of the greatest boxers in the history of the sport who’ll be looking for a milestone 50th victory.

So, perhaps it’s fitting their clash will be shown in theaters next month.

Mayweather-McGregor – Live Streaming online video show time ppv at 26 August, 2017.

Conor McGregor is stepping up his preparations ahead of his professional boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather on August 26. And the latest series of images shared by the Irishman on his social media feeds show that he’s very much doing things his own way.

To help him prepare for his fight against Mayweather, which he is widely expected to lose, McGregor has enlisted the help of former two-weight world champion Paulie Malignaggi, who has previously held the IBF light welterweight and WBA welterweight titles.

Malignaggi agreed to spar with McGregor despite being a vocal critic of the Irishman when he announced that he would be putting his MMA career on hold to box Mayweather, and joined his training camp this week.

It has been rumoured that Malignaggi has signed a confidentiality agreement while sparring with McGregor, after the South African boxer Chris van Heerden leaked a less than flattering video of the UFC star in action.

But that hasn’t stopped McGregor sharing pictures from his training camp.

And one image showing him taking on Malignaggi with his hands behind his back, in the style of the legendary Roy Jones Jr.

“They say I’ve got no hands”, is the accompanying caption.

McGregor certainly made sure he looked as stylish as possible for his sparring session with Malignaggi, stepping into the ring wearing a £240 pair of Gucci nylon swimshorts. Unsurprisingly, Gucci’s website sold out of the shorts quickly after.

Malignagg was one of McGregor’s fiercest critics when he first obtained a boxing licence, back in February. He warned McGregor to “stay in his lane” and also told him that “you will soon be apologizing for everything you have been trying to do to get into boxing.”

But the two men have since buried the hatchet and earlier this week the American told The MMA Hour podcast that he was hoping to pass on some technical expertise to the Irishman.

“I wouldn’t say I’m going there to train him but I might be able to give him some technical titbits,” he said.

“I think Conor has a very capable training team, he has a team that understands him inside and outside the Octagon.

“I’ll be going there to spar and if I see anything then of course I’ll share my views.”

What date is the fight : Mayweather vs McGregor

What date is the fight and at what time?

The fight is happening on Saturday 26 August. While the times haven’t been announced, it will certainly be a late night or very early start for viewers in the UK, so expect to be up well into Sunday 27 August, and possibly calling in sick on Monday 28.
Where is the fight taking place?

The bout will be housed in the T-Mobile arena on the Las Vegas Strip in Nevada. The venue has held major fights in the past, including UFC 202, in which McGregor beat Nate Diaz on points.

It’s either the boxing match of the millennium or a cross-code money-spinning abomination, but what we can tell you with certainty, at long last, is that it’s happening. Once-retired all-time great boxer Floyd Mayweather will take on UFC’s biggest star Conor McGregor in Las Vegas.

There have been what feels like years of speculation about the fight, with much name-calling on both sides. But the two fighters have announced that it is indeed, on.

Yes, that’s right, a boxer with a 49-0 record facing a man who has never taken part in a professional boxing fight.

Mayweather retired in 2015 with an unblemished 49-0 professional boxing record.

He is widely regarded as one of the best defensive fighters ever, and prides himself on his ability to evade punishment with his skillful movement about the ring while making adjustments against opponents on the fly.

A win for Mayweather would move him ahead of former heavyweight great Rocky Marciano, who also retired with a perfect 49-0 career record.

McGregor, the UFC’s reigning lightweight champion and former featherweight champion, is known as much for his bravado as for his explosive knockout power inside an MMA octagon.

Floyd Mayweather Request to Fight August 26 with Conor McGregor

Floyd Mayweather Request to Fight August 26 with Conor McGregor. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is reportedly eyeing Aug. 26 for his prospective fight with UFC star Conor McGregor.

ESPN.com’s Dan Rafael reported Monday that Mayweather Promotions plans to make a formal request with the Nevada State Athletic Commission to finalize the August date.

According to Rafael, Mayweather Promotions originally wanted to go before the commission Wednesday but shelved the motion for the time being—likely because Mayweather hasn’t finalized a fight date with McGregor.

In a May 17 appearance on TNT during the network’s NBA playoffs coverage, UFC President Dana White said McGregor’s side had completed negotiations for the event, with Mayweather the remaining holdout.

An August fight would make sense, even though promoters would have only two-and-a-half months to hype the bout. Excitement for Mayweather vs. McGregor fight has arguably been building for more than a year, considering Mayweather first created a mock poster for the fight in May 2016.

All parties involved would also likely prefer to get ahead of the Gennady Golovkin-Saul Alvarez fight, which has been confirmed for Sept. 16. White said he envisioned the same date for Mayweather-McGregor fight 2017 .

Golovkin-Alvarez is easily the biggest matchup in boxing right now, and by scheduling their fight after that highly anticipated pay-per-view, Mayweather and McGregor fight 2017 would risk losing fans who intend to buy only one of the shows. Copied from bleacher report
